XANTÉ ADVANCES COLOR PRINTING WITH CL30

Xanté CL30 features 30 pages-per-minute of Full Color, Print Spooling and Job Storage, Automatic Color Recalibration, and many more attributes for high performance, high volume printing

MOBILE, AL (January 23, 2003) – XANTÉ CORPORATION announced today a breakthrough in high performance, high volume printing with the addition of the CL30 to the Xanté family of products.

The Xanté CL30 features an amazingly fast 30 pages-per-minute of full color output while also supporting 37 page-per-minute monochrome print capabilities. The Xanté CL30 also includes oversized printing up to 12.9″ x 47.24,” resolution at 1200 x 1200 dpi, in-depth management tools, an easy to use built-in web browser, Xanté’s ColourMatch software, Automatic Color Recalibration, and true Adobe® PostScript® 3™.

“This is the most exciting color product to come from Xanté in sometime,” Robert C. Ross, Jr., Xanté’s founder and CEO, said, referring to the Xanté CL30. “At 30 pages per minute of full color, the Xanté CL30 series will cater to quick printers, graphic designers, copy shops, internal marketing departments, as well as general office environments. With no other product on the market can you print full color digital proofs, a short run order for business cards, flyers, direct mailers and newsletters, and also print, stack and staple your documents. The cost per page rate on the CL30 is astonishing with some of our early tests pointing to a 50% savings for the consumer. The Xanté CL30 offers all of these incredible opportunities and options at an obviously affordable price.”

Each model produces photo quality color and comes standard with 1200 x 1200 dpi, oversized printing capabilities up to 12.9″ x 47.24,” a high speed 600 MHz processor, 256 MB Ram (standard) expandable to 1,024 MB max, 10/100 BaseT Ethernet ®, IEEE-1284 bi-directional parallel, and USB connectivity.

Xanté’s photo quality color provides rich, full color at 1200 x 1200 dpi. Xanté’s ColourMatch software controls colors beyond the standard settings by allowing the user to modify colors on the Xanté CL30. The CL30 series provides accurate color and clear, crisp text on a wide range of paper types including ordinary bond paper from 20lb. All models handle up to 110 lb. index card stock on page sizes up to 12.9″ x 47.24″ which allows for oversized 11″ x 17″/A3 and poster printing. Media handling accommodates A4/letter size to 12.9″ x 47.24″ documents with a print area .197″ from all edges (excluding oversize pages).

Some of the more exciting additions to the CL30 series are the in-depth job management tools. Print Spooling allows the host computer to continue processing jobs independent of the printer’s status. Job Storage allows print jobs to be prepared and stored on the hard disk for printing on demand. Proof and Print allows printing of a single copy of a document for checking before printing multiple copies of the same document. Secure print allows the printing of confidential documents on printers that are shared with other users.

A new addition to the CL series is the Automatic Color Recalibration feature. The Xanté CL30 automatically recalibrates its settings after every 500 prints, maintaining high quality even after thousands of prints.

The Xanté CL30D includes all of the same features as the Xanté CL30 with the addition of a duplex unit, 10 GB internal hard drive and upgrade to 320 MB Ram. The Xanté CL30HC comes standard with the same features of the CL30D with the addition of a high capacity tray. The high capacity tray includes three 550 sheet trays for a total of 1,650 sheets. The Xanté CL30HCF also has features included in the Xanté CL30HC with a printer stand, finisher, and additional paper tray cassette tray.

Even with many technologically advanced features, the CL30 is a very affordable high volume, high printing solution. Several cost per print tests were conducted by Xanté in an effort to show potential customers the true value of a CL30 system. Printing a memo of correspondence with 5% coverage costs $0.01 per page, while printing a magazine tabloid spread at 35% coverage costs a business a low $.23 per print. A flyer at 22% coverage is an incredibly low $.7 per print. These savings come with no loss of print quality or speed on the CL30.

Designed for quick printers, service bureaus, in-house production departments, and copy shops, the CL30 series offers the speed, versatility, and affordability that printing professionals have been searching for to produce short-run full color jobs.
