Violet Laser and Internal Drum Technology
VM platesetters utilize a single, reliable 60mW violet laser diode instead of a complex array of high-power thermal lasers. This same laser leverages technology developed for consumer electronic devices. The 60mW violet laser technology is less expensive, requires less power, generates less heat and lasts far longer than thermal lasers.
The internal drum design is a simple reliable imaging technology that allows you to image accurate, long-running violet metal plates (at 2540 dpi with linescreens over 200 lpi).
Maximum Platemaking Versatility
The VM2 manual load-unload design and auto vacuum mechanism provide quick plate changes and allow you to image various sized plates to suit all common 2-up portrait and landscape presses. We also offer a complete line of plates and chemicals for the VM series that have been optimized to deliver incredible quality. Both plates and chemicals are tuned to ensure plate-to-plate consistency.
