For quality 4-up production, our VM4 CTP systems feature an award-winning workflow, fast air-bearing spin motor, and the ability to image high-resolution, violet metal plates for common 4-up and 2-up presses. The VM4 prints up to 36.5×25″ or 927x635mm max plate size at 2540 dpi with linescreens of over 200 lpi. Tightly integrated with the Symphony Workflow, the complete VM4 system includes an internal drum platesetter and the P24 photopolymer plate processor.

VM Series CTP systems are available in several configurations to meet a wide variety of production and budget requirements for the small to mid-sized commercial printer. Purchase only the features and drivers you need. Later, you can easily add additional features and drivers to satisfy your shop’s growing production needs.

Violet Laser and Internal Drum Technology

VM platesetters utilize a single, reliable 60mW violet laser diode instead of a complex array of high-power thermal lasers. This same laser leverages technology developed for consumer electronic devices. The 60mW violet laser technology is less expensive, requires less power, generates less heat and lasts far longer than thermal lasers.

The internal drum design is a simple reliable imaging technology that allows you to image accurate, long-running violet metal plates (at 2540 dpi with linescreens over 200 lpi).

Maximum Platemaking Versatility

The VM4 is a high production, 4-up CTP system that utilizes a high RPM air-bearing spin motor. The manual load-unload design and auto vacuum mechanism provide quick plate changes and the option to image various sized plates to suit all common 4-up and 2-up presses. We also offer a complete line of plates and chemicals for the VM series that have been optimized to deliver incredible quality. Both plates and chemicals are tuned to ensure plate-to-plate consistency.
