Introducing the NEW Xanté at Graph Expo
Presenting Hot New Products:
· Impressia GTO: Process-Free Platesetter
· OpenRIP FastCards: Turnkey Business Cards Solution
· Harmony Plates & Chemistry
September 9, 2007 – CHICAGO (Graph Expo) – Graph Expo is the first major venue where the new Xanté makes its debut. Visitors to Graph Expo booth 4452 & 4654 in Chicago will see the results of the successful integration of RIPit and Exxtra as part of the new Xanté. The new organization is poised to be the single source provider of a complete line of products — including platesetters, digital color presses, workflow RIPs, plate processors, plates and chemistry — for all printing demands.
Easy-to-use, Affordable, Process-Free, Landscape Platesetter
Taking center stage at the Xanté booth is the new Impressia GTO, the 2-up landscape, metal, process-free platesetter. Building on the success of popular and proven Impressia technology, the easy-to-use, new Impressia GTO gives print shops greater format flexibility and prints at 72 seconds per plate for the 16.5″ x 25″ (419 mm x 635 mm) plate size. The Impressia GTO is scheduled to ship in Q4 of 2007.
“The Impressia GTO is one of the most important offerings we’re bringing to market. It answers the immediate needs of a wide cross-section of commercial printers, and shows our commitment to reduce both labor and time-related costs for our customers,” Xanté CEO Robert Ross says.
On-Demand Production of Hi-Res Business Cards
Also at Graph Expo, Xanté is introducing the first product built on the combined technologies of Xanté and RIPit: new OpenRIP FastCards, the first system to deliver high resolution, full color prints on heavy stock – in just minutes. The system provides true on-demand printing with fast production of premium business cards, post cards, table tents, large banners and much more. The complete, modular solution integrates the FastCards software, the award-winning OpenRIP® Symphony workflow, an Ilumina 4-color digital press, a flatbed scanner and our AdvancedScan™ software.
Says Wayne Wasulko, senior vice president for RIP Technology at Xanté, and whose team spearheaded the effort, “With OpenRIP FastCards, the automation and ease of use is very unique. Our design team made the whole process so easy that anyone in the organization can produce excellent results in a very short period of time. Businesses that print in-house will have an unprecedented opportunity to support communications – and especially sales – requirements with truly on-demand printing, with no compromise.”
Violet Metal Plates and Chemistry
Xanté recognizes that commercial printers get better quality and economy for plates and chemistry by getting them from a single source they can trust. As a result, Xanté is bringing a new line of plates and chemistry to Graph Expo. The new Harmony Violet Metal Plate™ is a photopolymer digital plate designed for use with Xanté Violet Metal CTP series of platesetters. Harmony plates are also compatible with most other violet laser platesetters. A highly durable coating provides exceptional imaging and long press runs to meet the demands of today’s offset printer. Harmony plates and chemistry have been tested to provide dependable performance when used with VM platesetters and the P24 PlateRunner processor for a wide variety of applications including commercial, publication printing, newspapers, and in-plant. Harmony chemistry also works with other processors and plates.
“Harmony plates are accurate, durable, predictable, and easy to use. They meet our high standards for performance and cost-effectiveness,” says Robert Ross, Xanté CEO. “We are pleased to add Harmony plates and chemistry to our product portfolio, so that our customers can continue to depend on Xanté to meet all of their CTP needs with the same attention to customer service and satisfaction that has been a hallmark of our company.”
